Water Quality Monitoring & Reporting

Palliser Environmental offers a wide range of water quality monitoring services, including development of water monitoring programs for lakes and streams. We provide baseline data collection and compliance monitoring, and can assist to establish water quality targets and objectives, and complete long-term water quality trend analysis. We maintain field instruments for measuring in-situ water chemistry, including dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, turbidity, temperature and stream discharge. We work with CALA accredited laboratories to analyse water samples for routine parameters, as well as nutrients, sediment, bacteria, metals, pesticides and hydrocarbons. Sampling events and programs are designed to meet individual project objectives.

We compile and compare data to federal, provincial and site-specific water quality guidelines and objectives to report on water quality condition. Results of water monitoring programs may be reported in technical memorandums, factsheets, annual reports, long-term summary reports, and presentations. 

Palliser Environmental also locates, summarizes and interprets historical water quality data.  We conduct literature and data reviews and prepare scientific reports.
